Stefanie Sun abusing African kids?

Singaporean megastar Stefanie Sun (possibly the most popular Mandarin female singer around according to Answers.com) has been slammed by her fans here and elsewhere for a picture that was taken on her most recent trip to Tahoua, Niger where she is visiting impoverished children. The offending picture shows Sun appearing to single-handedly hold up a scale from which hung a malnourished Niger kid bursting into tears. It has since been clarified that it was a crane holding up the scale and not Sun herself (although we're not sure if it makes any difference).

From a fan in Australia:

虽然孙燕姿是在做好事,但她这样做看上去很不舒服,像在虐儿!
"Although Sun Yanzi is doing a good deed, this picture doesn't make her look very good. It's like she's abusing the kid!"

And another in Xi'an:

没看见那孩子在哭么,都是些什么人,孙燕姿大明星为了显示你所谓的爱心就要靠这些举动证明?要做善事不一定要这么高调吧?
"Did you not see the child is crying? Sheesh, what are these people? Why do celebrities like Sun Yanzi have to use such acts to show they're doing something good? Is there a need for charity to be so outwardly portrayed?"
